The Living and Active Depth of the Word: Galatians
When I finish an in-depth study on a section or book of the Bible, I am often unintentionally under the impression afterward that I know so much about it that there is nothing left to learn. This is not the case! There is a quote I have heard whose source seems debated, but has been attributed to St. Jerome, " The Scriptures are shallow enough for a babe to come and drink without fear of drowning and deep enough for a theologians to swim in without ever touching the bottom." My Bible study group just went through Galatians in 5 weeks (about 6 hours of discussion time together). The following are SOME of the questions and notes we as leaders discussed about the chapter in our prep time, yet group was only able to discuss a fraction of these.
